New Media Journalism is on the Rise

     Hey guys! If you're an individual interested in New Media Journalism, then you're in the right place. The entirety of this blog will be devoted to New Media Journalism, and the changes that Journalism has undergone with the introduction of computers and social media. This is an exciting time for Journalism with how dependent people have become on their phones, social media, and internet usage. Good Journalism is right at everyone's finger tips now, and Journalism is being read more than ever!
     A little overview of me; I'm a college student at Slippery Rock University, and I'm majoring in Journalism. The Tribune Review is one of the only traditional news sources I regularly get my news from, and if I do watch the news I choose to watch WTAE Channel 4 News. The reason I choose the Tribune Review as my main source of news is because the quality of the stories surpasses any other newspapers in the Pittsburgh region. Plus my mom just so happens to work for the Trib, and it may have had a thing or two to do with my choice of newspaper. If you didn't sense the sarcasm there, then I'll make it a little more straight forward. My mom working for the Tribune Review definitely influenced my decision, but overall it is a great newspaper with quality Journalism. Now the reason I choose WTAE for news is solely my decision, not that the other decision wasn't mine, but it's because the anchors and reporters that broadcast are far superior to any other news stations' anchors and reporters. One new media that I use regularly is the application MLB AtBat. I get a lot of my baseball news from this application.
     Some facts about me that aren't really Journalism related include, an avid listener of metal music, baseball player and fan of the game, and born again Christian/servant of my savior Jesus Christ.
